WWE was apparently displeased with Renee Young revealing positive COVID-19 result

Renee Young is no longer employed with WWE as she left the company following SummerSlam. She tested positive for COVID-19 towards the end of her time working in WWE and revealed it on social media. It seems WWE did not like this.

The company apparently instructed Superstars not to reveal the results of any COVID-19 tests. This decision was made following Renee Young revealing to the world that she had the virus.

Renee Paquette spoke during the Sports Illustrated Media Podcast where she revealed that the revealing of her testing positive for the virus “was not well received.” She then explained what she was told by WWE.

“They weren’t even like ‘You shouldn’t have posted it.’ But it was like, ‘We really wish you gave us a heads up that you were going to post it.’ It was bad for PR and whatnot. But again, I wouldn’t have even thought to be like, “Hey guys, I’m gonna tweet that I have COVID, ha, ha. Like, that was just not what I was thinking about when I posted about it.”

Thankfully, Paquette recovered from the virus and now fans have been wondering where she will go next.
