Eric Bischoff will take up the role of “Executive Director” for SmackDown LIVE while Paul Heyman will oversee Monday Night RAW in the same role. Furthermore, each individual will work directly under Vince McMahon himself.
Regarding Eric Bischoff’s role on SmackDown LIVE, he will also be in direct touch with the Executives at FOX and will work alongside them when the show debuts on FOX Sports in October of this year.
The three men who were once arch-rivals to one another during the iconic Monday Night Wars will now work together to bring about a renewed prosperity within the WWE. This move could have been made due to several reasons including the arrival of the hot new mega-promotion AEW.
It will be interesting to see how Paul Heyman, Eric Bischoff and Vince McMahon – three men who have been called geniuses of the business – work together in today’s era.
