Bray Wyatt made his return at WWE Fastlane by coming up through the ring during the match that was set between Randy Orton and Alexa Bliss. What we saw was Bray’s arm raise through the mat and grab onto The Viper as Bray then came up fully through the ring with Alexa Bliss cheering blissfully.
After The Fiend came up through the ring, he then proceeded to hit the sister Abigail onto Orton. The match itself was a decent return for The Fiend, but some still felt off about the entire “new” gimmick that showed The Fiend with burnt skin and a rather awful “new” look.
Christopher Santalla on Twitter said the following while posting a gif of Bray turning into The Fiend: “this was as bad as the WCW Yetty 😂😁😂 no more magic”
Raj Giri followed up by stating: “I’m with you”
The Yeti, of course, basically being a giant meme and a huge stain on what was the era of WCW.
In my personal opinion, I really like the entire Fiend gimmick and I think his attire he came back in was really put together well. I feel the Orton being “burnt” is where they dropped the ball.
