CM Punk has officially signed to AEW and AEW is already off to the races with that news as Darby Allin and Sting seem to be looking at Punk to break him into AEW. While you may think that Darby and Sting would be welcoming CM Punk with open arms, you would be wrong in that thought process as Darby just let out a very stiff and bold message to Punk on AEW’s first episode of AEW Rampage….John Cena Drops AEW Bombshell On Smackdown.
During AEW Rampage, we got a taste of just how this new show would be. While fan reactions are not currently all in yet, one thing is for sure, and that’s the internet and AEW fanbase are losing their minds to what was stated to (what seems to be) CM Punk on AEW Rampage by Darby Allin.
Darby stated the following in a promo as he alluded to CM Punk making his AEW debut next week: “You know, I’ve been around a lot of men in this world that have laid claim to how they’re the greatest. There’s only one place to do that – right here in AEW, even if you think that you’re the best in the world.”
The last part of that quote is CM Punk’s catchphrase. We will have to see if Punk is around next week.
