Carmella drops Sasha Banks references

Last week, Carmella defeated Bianca Belair via count out. However, that did not sit well with the RAW Women’s Champion and she hit her with a KOD. A few days ago, WWE advertised a rematch between the two. The Princess of Staten Island didn’t appreciate the social team undermining her accomplishments. Banks was scheduled to face Bianca Belair in a rematch at SummerSlam last year. However, ‘The Boss’ was unable to participate and Carmella filled in for her.

The former SmackDown Women’s Champion took to her Twitter account and wrote:

“Wow, you guys REALLY have it out for me, huh? Even the social media team won’t give me credit for beating the champ.. having flashbacks to when I stepped up at #SummerSlam when someone didn’t show up & I was removed from ALL of the video packages to showcase Bianca & Becky only.”

Sasha Banks has been away from WWE. She and Naomi had walked out of Monday Night RAW due to creative differences. There have been various sides to the story already reported, including that the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions confronted WWE Chairman Vince McMahon over their issue. WWE left that part out of their official narrative, but Banks and Naomi did have words with the boss. In the official statement from the company, it was noted that Sasha Banks and Naomi dropped their tag titles on the desk of John Laurinaitis and left the building.

Sasha Banks was released as per the WrestlingInc and Raj Giri. New reports have emerged that noted her presence on the WWE’s internal roster. WrestleVotes stated that Sasha Banks has indeed been released from her WWE contract. However, PWInsider noted that she is seemingly with WWE. WWE doesn’t care anymore about Sasha Banks walkout. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the backstage opinion of the whole Banks situation had changed. It was noted on Wednesday, that Banks was announced for next month’s C2E2 convention in Chicago. WWE is yet to officially confirm her release and there are conflicting reports on her status. We will see what is next for her.
