WWE has changed in the past couple of months. Vince McMahon’s sudden retirement and Triple H taking the baton from the former WWE Chairman and CEO in the creative division has changed things for the company. The returns and surprises have increased, as has the quality of the product.
Two names that walked out on WWE during Vince’s rule were Sasha Banks and Naomi. While the scuttlebutt was clear that they wanted to see Banks and Naomi back in the WWE, things seem to be different for both sides in the real-world scenario. Ringside News reports Triple H and WWE creative are sadly not discussing a return for Banks.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that the two parties are not on talking terms at this time. He didn’t state which party has stalled conversations, but it’s clear that the two are not in any negotiations at the moment. It settles any rumour of them returning to the WWE.
She is still under contract to WWE, but there is no word on when she’ll return as there were said to be hang-ups in negotiations for a new deal.
WWE knows a thing or two, or even more about surprising people with returns, action and exceptional storytelling. Gargano and others are a confirmation of the return factor, the Bobby Lashley and Brock Lesnar feud is an example of the action aspect and the Bray Wyatt storytelling is an example of the exceptional storytelling implemented by the company.
There’s no word on when Sasha Banks will return or if she will even return to wrestling as she is happy doing other projects in the field of work. She is appearing in fashion shows and has other expectations, but we would have to see if WWE or Triple H, in general, has any plans of bringing back ‘It’s Boss Time!’
What do you think of this possibility? Sound off in the comments.
We've seen Sasha Banks pop up all over the place, but not in WWE.
We've been told that Sasha Banks' name isn't coming up in the writers' room either.
