Since the conception of AEW they have faced so much backlash that it isn’t even fathomable. Once thought to be just another noise in the wind, AEW have really taken to fans and critics alike to show that they do very well have a fighting chance in this game of professional wrestling. With such huge names as Sting, CM Punk, and possibly Daniel Bryan to come – it surely looks like AEW can top the charts. Sadly, not everyone feels this way….Ric Flair Debuting In AEW With WCW Icon?
Many a failed wrestling company sees the comparison brought on by many fans as they state that the company is just another TNA ripoff. What does this mean? Well, TNA started with a good run and then hit a big stride and then fell pretty flat. There was a lot more logistics that went into the rise and fall of TNA, but you catch my drift.
Execs over at WWE have been side-talking AEW for a bit now. Many have often wondered if WWE fears AEW and it just doesn’t seem to be so. Andrew Zarian shared the following texts from WWE executives as they relate to AEW competition: These guys (AEW) have children wrestling, how do they even think they can get near us?” (Name dropped Jungle Boy). “This is gonna be another IMPACT, they’re not serious. It’s a joke”.
