On the latest episode of the very famed ‘The Nitty Gritty Dirt Sheet’ show which features the former writer for WWE, Vince Russo, and our favorite reporter of all crazy things within the ever changing world of professional wrestling, Billi Bhatti, we had a feast of new knowledge.
During this part of the episode, Vince Russo and Billi Bhatti are speaking about AJ Styles and why seeing him on TV seems to be a rarity anymore. Is something wrong with AJ or is this just regularly scheduled time off?
Bhatti: “People started to notice AJ Style’s absence and people who subscribe to this will know the reason why he was gone…and it’s not that exciting. I spoke on this show before about contracts and how the new contracts allow people more time off as long as it was booked in advance. Everyone gets 6-8 weeks a year.”
Russo: “Isn’t that a ridiculous time though to give him off after he wins the title?”
Bhatti: “AJ is having his annual time off which he booked in advance.”
