Sonya Deville was not seen on WWE television since her loss to Mandy Rose at WWE SummerSlam in a ‘Loser leaves WWE’ match. In actuality, she was taking time off to deal with her stalker case.

Sonya Deville made her surprise return to the company during the first episode of Friday Night Smackdown last year. Since then she has been busy with her on-screen role alongside Adam Pearce. She had then started a feud with Naomi that lasted months as fans eventually got tired of that as well.

She also teamed up with WWE Smackdown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair and faced off against Ronda Rousey and Naomi in a tag team match at the WWE Crown Jewel Premium Live Event in Saudi Arabia in February 19th. In the end, Ronda Rousey made Sonya Deville tap out for the win.

Deville recently took to her Instagram and uploaded a sizzling photo of herself in a red outfit as part of her latest photoshoot

Ronda Rousey was not seen on WWE television since WrestleMania 35 back in 2019, where she dropped the RAW Women’s Title to Becky Lynch in a triple threat match which also had Charlotte Flair in the mix. Ronda Rousey also showed her backside in a photo with Becky Lynch previously as well.

During a recent discussion with Josh Martinez on Superstar Crossover Sonya Deville discussed her transition to an authority figure role when she came back to the WWE in 2021. Credit to Fightful for the following quote.

“It was kind of week-by-week and fly by the coattails. I remember having a conversation with Vince when I got back and I was like, ‘what are we doing with the plan?’ I had a couple of ideas. He had a different vision. We were throwing things at each other. I was like, ‘I have a three-piece suit, I think it would be cool to have that be part of my character like a power strength role.’ I was explaining to him how I saw my character evolving. He was like, ‘You have a suit? Go get it.’ Long story short, that was his vision. ‘Let’s put her in an authority role, she fits perfectly.’ He saw me like that and we started as Adam Pearce’s assistant, I moved my way up the ranks, and I’m running both brands now. It evolved as we went along and was a week-by-week thing.”
