Braun Strowman has taken to social media to share a graphic picture of his elbow injury. Strowman maintained kayfabe in the post that was replete with a caption delivering a stern message to Roman Reigns.
Braun Strowman sustained an elbow injury at WWE’s Payback PPV after his match with Roman Reigns and recently had surgery in Birmingham, Alabama. Strowman last competed on the UK edition of Monday Night RAW and was written off the show after being attacked by arch rival Reigns.
It was during the aforementioned rehabilitation process that doctors discovered his injury to be much more serious than what it had initially appeared, as Strowman was diagnosed with a shattered elbow. The 33-year old was initially supposed to face Reigns at Extreme Rules and then challenge Brock Lesnar for the latter’s WWE Universal championship at Great Balls of Fire in July.
Nevertheless, for now, WWE’s plans for the Monster Among Men are on a hold, so to speak, with the former Wyatt Family member now undergoing rehabilitation on the gruesome injury. Here’s what Braun Strowman posted on his official Instagram page-
“This is what a shattered elbow looks like!!!! This pain is nothing compared to what I’m going to unleash as soon as I’m healed!!!! #ImNotFinishedWithYou”
Braun Strowman is likely to be on the shelf for no less than 6 months. Meanwhile, the WWE has announced a Fatal 5-Way match that’s to take place at Extreme Rules on June 4th, between Bray Wyatt, Samoa Joe, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns and Finn Balor in order to determine the number-1 contender for Brock Lesnar’s Universal title.
Braun Strowman is one of the most explosive athletes on the WWE roster today, and a shattered elbow has an average recovery time of no less than 6 months- that is excluding the time required to re-build yourself and regain optimum fitness in the weight-room. We, here at Wrestling-Edge, wish the Monster Among Men a safe and speedy recovery.
