Ronda Rousey lost her title to Charlotte on SmackDown. It seems that she seemingly forgot she was a babyface for a moment during Smackdown this past week.
Charlotte Flair botched on SmackDown
As seen on this week’s episode of Friday Night Smackdown, Charlotte Flair defended her Smackdown Women’s Championship against Sonya Deville in a singles match.
Flair would pick up the win after a competitive match. Right after that, Flair seemingly forgot she was a babyface as Flair could be seen snatching the belt from referee Jessika Carr. Immediately realizing her mistake, Flair had an awkward moment with Carr and even said ‘thank you’ to her to save face. However, fans certainly noted the botch.
Charlotte Flair had been away from WWE programming since she lost the SmackDown Women’s Championship to Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania Backlash in May this year. After that match in Providence, R,I., WWE wrote Flair off television by claiming she had suffered a fractured radius. In reality, Flair was scheduled to take time away from WWE to marry AEW star, Andrade El Idolo in Mexico. The pair tied the knot at the end of May after becoming engaged in January 2020.
