CM left WWE in an abrupt manner after the Royal Rumble PPV in 2014 and he retired from active competition afterward, ending his decade and a half long career in the professional wrestling world.

Though while Royal Rumble was his last active wrestling appearance, his last televised singles match came a few days before the PPV. He faced current AEW and former WWE star Billy Gun in a one on one contest during the January 20 episode of Raw.

A fan recently reminded Punk of his last Raw match on Twitter, though the former WWE Champion’s reply suggested that he doesn’t have very fond memories of the bout:

CM Punk On The Conditions Required For His Comeback

CM Punk was asked about potential in-ring return during his appearance on Renee Paquette’s Oral Sessions podcast last year and the Straight Edge star named the two conditions which are required for his comeback:

“Without wanting to insult anybody on either side of the fence, any WWE talent or AEW talent, it would take above all an interesting scenario. A story that would be fun to tell. Also, just the stupidest amount of money”
