CM Punk, the former WWE star recently joined Renee Young on the Oral Sessions podcast this week. When asked about possible return to the squared circle, the former WWE Champion stated what would make him make a return.
CM Punk wants an ‘interesting scenario’ for his return
After parting ways with WWE in 2014, Punk never wrestled in the squared circle. Whenever, the speculations started floating he has always denied them. He went on to try his luck in the UFC but that did not work, ended up having a successful stint in the octagon.
He had recently made his return to WWE Backstage, a programming on FOX, which had ignited the chances of him returning to the company. But it was revealed that he was directly under contract with FOX and not WWE.

During the podcast, Punk was asked if he ever considers stepping foot in the wrestling ring. He stated that an ‘interesting scenario’ could potentially make him return to wrestle once again.
He also leaned towards AEW as he mentioned few stars he wishes to wrestle.
Punk said:
“What would it take? Oh gosh. Without wanting to insult anybody on either side of the fence, any WWE talent or AEW talent, it would take, above all, an interesting scenario. A story that would be fun to tell and also just the stupidest amount of money. But, they can save themselves a lot of money if they present a fun storyline. Now, what that is, I don’t know. I’m a pretty picky guy, especially at this point. I think there are more interesting people on the AEW side of things for me to wrestle and that’s because I’ve never wrestled them before. Young Bucks, Kenny Omega.”
It is to be seen if the former WWE Champion makes his comeback.
