We noted before how Cody Rhodes won the IWGP US title yesterday. After that, but before the announcement of his NJPW World title match, Rhodes spoke up to media and answered some questions.
While talking about the future of the Elite, the NWA Worlds Champion repeated his words saying anything is possible including the Elite possibly going to WWE.
Continuing on the topic, he said that there are more fearless wrestlers nowadays than ever before and went on to claim that he fears no one, including WWE:
“I’d like Being The Elite to continue, and I’d sure as hell like to bring you guys something kind of like an ALL IN sequel. So if that happens, who knows? But in 2019 there’s more wrestlers with no fear than ever before. I don’t fear anything. I don’t fear Vince McMahon. I don’t fear Triple H. I don’t fear Hunter [Johnson] from Ring of Honor. I don’t fear Gedo from here. I go out there and play my music. That’s it. And you pay for it, and I do my best damn job I can possibly do. And the guys I link up are the exact same way. And I think that’s good for wrestling.”
Cody is set to challenge Kenny Omega for his title in a triple threat match next week, and he will also be defending his NWA title in a rematch against Nick Aldis later this month.
