Diddy ‘Intoxicated Woman’ Lawsuit Revealed

In response to the allegations made against Sean “Diddy” Combs and singer Aaron Hall by Liza Gardner, Universal Music Group is pushing back against the claims. Recent documents obtained by Radar Online reveal UMGR’s efforts to dismiss the complaints lodged by Gardner, asserting that there is no evidence linking the company to the alleged misconduct of the musicians and refuting accusations of enabling such behavior.

Gardner’s lawsuit, filed in November, targets Diddy, Hall, UMGR, and several others. Gardner claims that the encounter began at an event where she met them and alleges that they subsequently bought her drinks. She contends that Diddy and Hall then invited her to their apartment, where they took advantage of her intoxicated state and engaged in actions amounting to rape. Additionally, Gardner asserts that her friend was also assaulted during the same incident.

Following the reported assaults, Diddy allegedly visited Gardner’s residence days later, engaging in acts of aggression and strangulation that resulted in her losing consciousness.

UMGR’s recent motion to dismiss, filed in a New York court, acknowledges the serious nature of the allegations outlined in the Complaint. However, the company asserts that there is no concrete evidence linking UMGR to the purported attacks.

According to UMGR, Gardner’s allegations against the music giant should be dismissed as they lack connection to UMGR. The company emphasizes that Gardner openly acknowledges in her Complaint that she was just sixteen years old at the time of the alleged incidents in 1990, making the Adult Survivors Act inapplicable. UMGR argues that the proper legal avenue for her case is the Child Victims Act, and as Gardner failed to bring her claims under the CVA within the specified time frame, all claims remain time-barred.

UMGR contends that Gardner has not provided proof that the company assisted Diddy or Hall with the alleged offenses. The company refutes any vicarious liability for battery or assault and dismisses Gardner’s claim of negligent infliction of emotional distress.
