WWE Hall Of Famer Goldberg made his shocking return at RAW Legends Night last month. He challenged Drew McIntyre for the WWE Championship at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view.
At the Royal Rumble event, the WWE Title match kicked off the show and it was a very physical affair. When all was said and done, Drew McIntyre picked up the win over Goldberg and successfully defended his WWE Championship.
However, many fans noticed Goldberg was not able to compete at a good level and was noticeably tired early on in the match. Many also pointed out how Goldberg was not able to perform his Jackhammer either.
During the latest edition of The Dirty Sheets podcast, Billi Bhatti talked about the match between Goldberg and Drew McIntyre. Bhatti revealed what Drew McIntyre told him in texts.
I had better ideas for the match that I put in the group chat, which I also sent out to Drew. They used bits of it but it wasn’t structured in the same way. Drew said that ”I don’t even wanna take that. I don’t think he’ll [Goldberg] be able to do this”. But I didn’t think he would be that limited. Did you not think he was puffing on the way to the ring.
