Former Impact Champion confirmed to be returning to WWE

Ethan Carter III WWE

We noted before how former Impact World Champion Ethan Carter III finished up with the company after their latest tapings and he was said to be free to go to wherever he wants.

After this, it was reported that WWE had interest in bringing him back which started speculations of him possibly returning to the company and now these rumors have been confirmed.

Dave Meltzer discussed EC3’s status in the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Newsletter and revealed that he is in fact headed to the Biggest Wrestling Company in the World.

It’s worth mentioning here that the former Champion was recently pulled from an indie show he was originally announced to be appearing at, on the same date as Royal Rumble.

While not confirmed, this very likely means that he will be making his debut or make his return, at the Royal Rumble PPV, based on which one of his gimmick the company decides to use.

Ok,we are going around in circles because you do not understand what the word CONFIRMED means.
Confirmed is not from an outside source. Pure and simple. Not perspective, that is the literal meaning of the word. I do not care how much you trust a guy who has a hit or miss success rate.

Because Meltzer is a trusted source for us…that’s the point, We trust him n if he says something we believe him, n it’s totally cool with me if you don’t believe him, it’s your own perspective mate.

Ok, seeing as you are even more moronic than you seem. Let me break this down for you simply. Your article says that his return is CONFIRMED. You then give Meltzer as the only source of confirmation. Please tell me how this is CONFIRMED.
You say it is a matter of perspective, but we have seen numerous times that Meltzer has a hit or miss reputation and is not part of WWE, so I say once again you cannot say it is CONFIRMED. That is not perspective, it is fact.
If he is coming back, so be it, but until he either shows up or a statement is issued by WWE you cannot say it is confirmed.
Just the same as the likes of War Machine etc. The information was right, but confirmation only came when WWE announced it. That is how confirmation works.

If you actually read my post, I never actually said anything about the unconfirmed Rumble appearance. What I was calling you out on in your reply to Lee is your childish insults, and not being able to take any form of criticism without resorting to them.

  • Anutosh Bajpai

Lol it wasn’t even about Meltzer….if you’d actually read the article with some sense you’ll realize that it says that EC3’s return is confirmed…..n the last para is an extra info which says whether or not he will be at Rumble is NOT CONFIRMED. They are two different statements…..n i have no idea on which basis this guy is comparing both of them….as far as Dave is concerned, we trust him as a source n if he says something we believe him. Whether u want to believe him or not is a matter of your perspective, i couldn’t care less about it

    Shut up, you idiot.
If you cannot take criticism, do not post stories on a public website.

Simple fact is, nothing is “CONFIRMED”. Meltzer is not the be all and end all of truth.
The only way anything is confirmed is when either WWE announces it or the person appears.

i don’t even feel the need to explain it…this a Joey level comment

Uping you for comparing EC3 to a tootsie pop…

  • MindTricked

I have zero memory of this dude in WWE. Was he NXT? Was he main roster? Can’t I just look this up myself? Much like the number of licks it takes to get to the Tootsie Roll center of a Tootsie Pop, the world may never know.

“Former Impact Champion confirmed to be returning to WWE” then a couple paragraphs later “While not confirmed, …”
