Former WWE stars make AEW debut during Women’s Tag Team Cup Tournament

AEW aired the first two matches of the announced AEW Women’s Tag Team Cup Tournament yesterday and the episode saw the debut of two former WWE stars.

 


 

The episode which aired on the company’s YouTube channel saw the debut of Former WWE star Cameron who is now known as Ariane Andrew and former NXT star Taynara Conti who was dubbed as Tay Conti.

Both the debuting stars were on the opposing sides as Conti teamed up with Anna Jay to defeat the team of Nyla Rose with Vickie Guerrero and Ariane Andrew in the first round match.

The other match of the night saw Brandi Rhodes teaming up with Allie to defeat Penelope Ford and Mel. QT Marshall and Dustin Rhodes were on the side of Brandi’s team while Kip Sabian was with Ford and Mel.

Since the tournament features a random drawing of tag partners, the company hasn’t announced the matches for next week’s installment of the competition. You can check out the mentioned matches in the video below:
