Francis Ngannau ‘Declines’ Three UFC Fights?

The UFC star Francis Ngannau is unavailable to defend his UFC Heavyweight title against Derrick Lewis at UFC 265.

 


 

It was recently announced by UFC President Dana White that Lewis and Ciryl Gane will battle it out for the Interim UFC Heavyweight title at UFC 265 that is set to take place on Saturday, August 7.

Francis Ngannau had denied three dates for the fight

Recently, Derrick Lewis’ trainer took to hid Instagram account to promote the fight. He went on to reveal to the fans that Ngannau has agreed to fight previously and also inked on the agreement for a fight scheduled for August 7. However, he ended up cancelling the dates. He wrote:

“Let it be known we agreed to fight Francis for June, August, and September. Derrick even signed bout agreement for August 7, 4 WEEKS AGO. Francis declined all dates, so we had to move forward.”

It was previously reported that he was not injured and #1 contender’s match was changed into the interim title fight.

We will have to see how situation progresses and when Ngannau decides to make his comeback to claim the gold.
