According to Newsweek, Ivanka Trump, the eldest daughter of former President Donald Trump, shared a heartwarming message to usher in the new year by praising those who help others. She posted a video on her Instagram Story featuring the late Fred Rogers, known for his beloved preschool television series “Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood,” which aired from 1968 to 2001. Rogers, often seen as a father figure, imparted lessons in compassion and kindness on his TV show.
In the shared clip, Rogers emphasized the importance of looking for the helpers in times of catastrophe, recalling advice from his mother. He suggested that news programs make a conscious effort to showcase rescue teams and medical professionals entering tragedy-stricken areas, as the presence of helpers signifies hope.
Ivanka captioned her post with a timeless message: “As we approach the new year, let’s carry the timeless wisdom of Mr. Rogers with us: In these challenging times, always look for the helpers. Their presence is a beacon of hope and humanity. Their courage and kindness light the way forward. Wishing you all joy, love, and hope.”
While Ivanka has largely stayed out of the spotlight during her father’s 2024 presidential run, she shared her love for her father when he announced his candidacy in November 2022. However, she mentioned prioritizing her young children and the private family life they are creating during this period.
Ivanka’s husband, Jared Kushner, who played a significant role in Middle East policy during the Trump administration, praised Donald Trump’s foreign policy. He expressed hope for Trump’s reelection in 2024, stating that he believed Trump’s performance as a foreign policy president was tremendous. In October, appearing on Lex Fridman’s podcast, Kushner highlighted concerns about world safety under President Biden, referencing conflicts such as the Israel-Hamas situation, and expressed hopes for Trump to restore calm and peace to the world if reelected.
