John Cena is a 16 time World Champion in WWE and has been the face of the company for over a decade until he shifted to a part-time schedule back in 2017. Many fans have been wanting to see Cena make his return at this year’s WrestleMania. John Cena also might have leaked his retirement match.
WWE Hall Of Famer Jim Ross spoke on the latest edition of his ‘ “Grilling JR” podcast on AdFreeShows.com, where he discussed John Cena’s run in WWE back in 2006. He talked about John Cena’s first on-screen girlfriend as he was paired with Maria Kanellis, who was a fresh face back then, though it appears there were plans for the storyline to go deeper. Ross agreed that she was the best pick for John Cena’s first girlfriend as someone attractive would be the obvious choice for Cena.
“Well, look at her. Do you think she is not TV-worthy?” Ross said. “That’s it. She had great sex appeal. She was a fresh face and was always professional, wide-eyed, and open to trying things. I actually thought that was a good choice because she was a new player in the equation, and she had all the tools that she wanted. And if John Cena is going to have a girlfriend, she’s going to be hot.”
