CZW stated the following which caused a stir via a tweet: “Congratulations to new parents @ReneePaquette and @JonMoxley! All his time in the Combat Zone will have Mox prepared for when the boys want to date that little girl. All the best, guys!”
The tweet caused enough issues for the tweet to get deleted as many thought it was odd that whoever was running the CZW account was thinking about Moxley’s child in this respect. Reddit then caught wind of this and the field was split on how everyone took the tweet.
One Redditor stated: “I can tell I’m getting old. People used to say this kind of stuff all the time, pointing out how the dad would murder anyone who tried to date his baby girl. Now it’s apparently taboo.”
Another commenter followed: “Depending on the era you grew up in, it was like the most common joke made to new dads by their friends. S**t like, “Well, hopefully she never meets a guy like you, otherwise you’ll have to kick his a**!” etc. It’s a joke that has aged, apparently, based on the way people are reacting.”
