In the video, we see the team of Jose racing to the back and to Aldo’s wife, Vivianne after her husband’s win. As the team starts to dwindle down, we see Jose running towards a camera while punching the air and then into the arms of his wife.
As the two embrace, the cheers erupt and Jose and Vivianne Aldo kiss each other as the cheers begin to get even louder. This kind of footage really brings so many people together and goes to show just how much something means to someone even if it doesn’t mean much to others.
This fight meant a lot to Aldo as his record is quite impressive, but he wanted to continue to add to his own legacy. Pedro Munhoz also had a lot to prove as he wanted to be the man who took down Jose in the UFC 265 co-main event.
As the smoke cleared at the end of the night, it was Jose Aldo who reigned supreme as Pedro Munhoz was left defeated. Aldo’s next mission is to add the 135-pound belt to his resume, and he thinks a fight with former champion T.J. Dillashaw would be what makes that a reality.
Also stated: “It would be great for me to fight with Dillashaw. Hopefully by December. I think it would be a great fight and that’s what we expect. That’s what I’m expecting right now. After I lost the (title) fight I felt like I had to incorporate new things into my repertoire and that’s what I did. I got into Navy sponsored boxing in Brazil and that’s how I got better with my punches (Munhoz is a) great fighter and I understood it was going to be a tough fight and a brawl pretty much. I knew this was going to happen. It wasn’t frustrating (that I couldn’t finish him). I knew it was going to happen.”
