Keith Lee has been under fire by Vince and company for some time now, and he’s also reportedly been dealing with health issues. Taking a look at Keith’s Twitter is pretty sad to see. You can tell that Keith is missing wrestling more than ever. It’s truly a shame to see him getting this kind of treatment from the WWE when Keith is a great wrestler and character.
Keith took to Twitter to say the following to Henry T Casey (ringpostfm/cenaphiles podcast) who posted a photo of him and Lee: “I miss you guys too. Just know that.”
He also said, “Throw out the negativity. Reach your goals.”
Heartbreaking, Keith.
Vince McMahon started to lose interest in Keith Lee when Vince stated that he didn’t “get” Keith’s character. It’s no shock that Vince didn’t “get” Keith’s character, but Keith was over in terms of crowd reactions, so it really makes no sense why he was written off of TV. It makes even less since when WWE is trying to be more inclusive than ever when it comes to female athletes and African American athletes.
All that said, if you don’t fit Vince’s fantasy of ‘the perfect body’ you won’t be used as we’ve seen time and time again.
