Kevin Owens made his WWE debut almost 6 years ago and since then, the former NXT star has solidified his spot in the WWE roster and became one of the top stars of the company.
WWE recently posted a bonus clip from the WWE Chronicle episode on the former Universal Champion in which he takes a look back to his debut match in the company.
Owens said that he remembers the moment pretty specifically and he recalled being backstage while the opening WWE graphics played on screen:
“I remember this moment pretty specifically, so like, the music’s playing, but nobody knows it’s my music. Even before this, like right before the show started, you know they have the ‘Then, Now, Forever’ graphic, I was watching that. It really rocked me because I had seen that graphic so many times, and now I knew I was going to be on the show it was airing for.”
Kevin Owens then mentioned how his first match was against CJ Parker aka Juice Robinson and he remembered how the current NJPW star broke his nose during his debut bout:
“And then CJ Parker came out and broke my nose,” Owens said. “And we became very close friends as a result. I actually just texted him not even 20, 30 minutes ago that six years ago today that he broke my nose and stole my heart.”
