Maxwell Jacob Friedman had a very bad night at AEW’s Fyter Fest event. First, he lost his match against Hangman Adam Page, Jimmy Havoc and Jungle Boy and then something even worse happened.
As reported earlier, Shawn Spears turned heel on MJF’s friend and “mentor” Cody Rhodes and busted the latter open with a vicious unprotected chair shot to the head. After this, MJF was one of the people who rand down to the ring to check on Rhodes.
After the cameras stopped rolling at Fyter Fest, MJF took to his Twitter handle to tell people to “leave him alone” as he “grieved” over what happened to Rhodes. He also sent out a short yet very impactful message to Shawn Spears.
Please leave me alone at this time. I’m grieving over what has happened to my best friend/mentor Cody Rhodes.
Fuck Shawn Spears.
