Ever since her return at the Royal Rumble, Naomi has just been on a roll. On this week’s SmackDown, she’s all set to face Carmella in a Number One Contender’s match for Bayley’s SmackDown Women’s Championship.
The former SmackDown Women’s Champion’s future looks to be glowing, as a few reports suggest that she will go on to WrestleMania to face Bayley for the title.
In an interview with Women of Wrestling Weekly, Naomi talked about many things, including her thoughts about NXT. She revealed that last year she’d asked WWE to be sent back to NXT to work with the talent there.
She also heavily praised the talent that performs on the Black and Yellow brand.
I asked about a year ago to go down to NXT to work. I just think NXT is awesome.
I love NXT and also, the time I wasn’t being used much on the main roster so, I was like, ‘Dang, can I go down there and just see what I can get into, what could happen, and the talent down there is just so good.’
Naomi went on to say that she loves Bianca Belair and her style and personality. She also indicated that she had an idea to work with Belair on a program.
