WWE ambassador and former WWE Divas Champion Paige has been on the shelf for quite some time due to her neck injury issues. While, many stars have battled with similar issues and returned to the ring, she is also not ruling out a return to the squared circle. She had retired back in April 2018 due to issues with her neck. could be making her in-ring return soon as the company updated her status online. She was last seen in action in December 2017 when she took on Sasha Banks at a house show where she suffered a neck injury. Paige formally announced her retirement from in-ring competition on the post-WrestleMania episode of RAW in 2018 and has been involved mostly in non-wrestling roles since then.
But it seems, the status might change soon and she could be back working inside the squared circle.
Paige might make her return
After being an ambassador for a few years, WWE.com recently moved Paige to their “Current Superstars” column. However, the former Absolution member is still not listed as part of any brand.
Some top stars of the pro-wrestling industry like WWE Hall of Famer Edge and Bryan Danielson(formerly Daniel Bryan in WWE) made their return to in-ring action and these returns have inspired the star to get herself cleared to return to the ring in the future. Paige star took to social media recently to address these fans, tweeting out:
“It’s wild that some people are like “well edge and Bryan came back you are just lazy” I’m inspired by them. I’m not lazy. My neck needs to recover. We are all built different. Sorry fam,” she tweeted.
It is still unclear when Paige will be able to wrestle again. We will have to see if she makes her highly-anticipated comeback to in-ring competition.
