Pat McAfee talks NXT future following loss at WarGames

At NXT TakeOver: WarGames, Pat McAfee and his “Kings of NXT” took the Undisputed Era to the limit. It was an action-packed main event, with Team McAfee adding weapons to an already violent match.

In the end, Adam Cole and the Era were able to pick up the win after a devastating finish to Oney Lorcan. The NXT Tag Team Champion took a diving knee to the face while a chair was placed on his head.

On the Pat McAfee Show today, the leader of Team McAfee appeared wearing a neck brace. Pat McAfee stated that he was awaiting the results of some tests to see how bad his body is injured. Speaking on the match, McAfee said:

“Ya know, it was a Hell of a match. Hell of a show, by the way. My guys and I ended up losing to the scumbags that are The Undisputed Era and I’m unhappy about it. This neckbrace is only for precautionary reasons at the moment.”

McAfee further stated that he’d injured his hip, back, and possibly broken his toe during the match. When it comes to The Undisputed Era, he hinted that they may not be finished with them or NXT.

“We did not go down without a fight. The next time we get our hands on them, they’ll be the ones wearing the neckbraces!”

Pat McAfee has impressed fans, critics, and peers with his impressive athleticism in his two WWE matches. Add that to his phenomenal mic skills, and WWE definitely has a special celebrity talent in their back pocket for future events. Whether he’s finished with NXT for the time being or not, we’ll have to wait until Wednesday to find out.
