Planned Brock Lesnar match reportedly nixed already

We noted before how WWE had plans for Finn Balor to challenge Brock Lesnar for the Universal title, presumably at the Royal Rumble PPV next year.

However, it appears that these plans have already been nixed by the company because Mr. McMahon thinks that the former Universal Champion is not that popular with the crowd.

According to Wrestling Observer, the company has cooled down on the idea of pushing Balor because Vince McMahon thinks that he is not ‘over enough’.

As a result of this change, the talks of him receiving a title opportunity against the Beast somewhere down the line have been nixed already.

No word yet on who will be the Beast’s next opponent. What this means for Balor’s future is not known either so we’ll have to wait and see where his character is headed to next.
