The COVID-19 outbreak has taken over the world. WWE’s ratings continue to plummet due to the disease. Another factor that has contributed to the decline is the subpar storylines.
On PW Insider Elite audio, Mike Johnson mentioned that he talked to his various sources and asked them why WWE has just been “wandering” in the last few weeks with no real spark to it.
The answer was the same as always, that the show is exactly what Vince McMahon wants it to be. This still appears to be the status quo in WWE and Vince McMahon has to take the credit or blame for everything that happens.
The company has faced a lot of setback over the past few months, even before the COVID-19 outbreak. The lack of a live audience certainly does them no favors either.
