As we had reported the day of WrestleMania and then Raw, Reginald was absent due to unknown circumstances with Nia Jax. At the time, it wasn’t clear if it was part of a storyline or if it was ‘real’. It seems like we know have the answers that the WWE Universe have been asking since WrestleMania. Nia Jax ‘Botches’ Mandy Rose Match On Raw.
NXT Superstar Amale tweeted out to wonder where Reginald was during WrestleMania. He replied: “malade,” which translates to “sick” from French. Reginald did not go any further into details on what his specific illness was, but WWE’s strict COVD-19 guidelines won’t allow someone to enter the arena if they’re feeling sick in any way, shape, or form.
Reginald would have been booked alongside Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler during their WWE Women’s Tag Team Title defense that took place on night two of WrestleMania. Jax and Baszler did win their match without the help of Reginald, but we are unsure when he will be back in action as two week quarantines are still the standard.
As stated, we are still unsure what the illness was that Reginald contracted, but it was enough to keep him away from the biggest show of the year for WWE, WrestleMania. Our best wishes out to him.
