ECW and WWE legend Rob Van Dam gave the wrestling world an update regarding his status with Impact Wrestling when a fan took to social media via Twitter to ask if Van Dam was finished with the promotion.
Van Dam responded by saying: “I finished my obligations there, so you could say I quit appearing on their show until/unless new arrangements are made.” This confirms that RVD was not fired from Impact. You can view the full exchange below.
In other news featuring the former ECW and WWE champion, Rob Van Damn discussed what he would have done differently regarding his 2006 arrest in a recent interview with Thibaud Choplin. Van Dam was arrested for possession of marijuana while holding both the ECW and WWE championships.
Van Dam said: “I would’ve been a lot more careful driving. I would have paid attention to the speed limit more and I wouldn’t have had my weed all spread out over the dashboard and I wouldn’t have been smoking in the car without having some good air freshener. I would’ve been more careful and I would’ve been more open-minded. Part of being in that competitive spirit back in the day was arrogance.
That was part of it. I couldn’t open up my heart to a lot of the other guys in the room because I was feeling like, ‘Man, f*ck that guy, f*ck that guy. They wanna take my spot or they’re talking sh*t about me. I’d rather knock that guy out dude’ so, now I look at as I was so immature. It was necessary at the moment I guess,”
PS: wrestlers take care of each other. Years ago, @WWERollins would crash at my family home. My dad made him pancakes. I was on tour with 01MAX at the time – here we are, full circle, as my baby bro @TheTreyMiguel sorted out a place for @realtravistitan to crash. Brotherhood.
