Rusev says he is not a wrestler anymore, reveals the next step in his career

WWE released a number of Superstars on April 15th as a means to cut budget during the COVID-19 pandemic. Most of these Superstars have already made their debuts in other promotions.

The Good Brothers, EC3, Eric Young, Heath Slater & Curt Hawkins all signed with Impact Wrestling earlier this month. Meanwhile, Matt Cordona aka Zack Ryder debuted on AEW Dynamite last night.

However, one big name who has yet to make his next move is the former WWE United States Champion Rusev. Fans have been wondering where the former WWE Superstar would land after his WWE release but so far, he has not made any moves.

In a Twitch Q&A session, Rusev was asked about his wrestling future by a fan. Rusev shockingly responded by saying that he is no longer a wrestler and that he’s “done”.

He said that he’s a full-time Twitch/YouTube streamer and content creator.

I’m done. I’m done, man. I’m just enjoying my Twitch. I’m a professional Twitcher, YouTuber, content creator. I’m not a wrestler anymore. Can I be your favorite streamer?

Rusev was incredibly over in WWE and fans have always loved him no matter what gimmick he’s portraying. Therefore, for him to make a claim like this comes off as a shock to many of his fans who were eagerly waiting for him to debut elsewhere.

Either way, we hope that Rusev (or Miro) finds incredible success in his future as a Twitch Streamer.
