Shawn Michaels Reveals If Triple H Is Permanently Gone

WWE Chairman Vince McMahon recently decided to reband NXT as NXT 2.0. The revamped version of the show saw various changes made to the show. They also decided to enhance the production and decided to utilize the younger and taller wrestlers instead of experienced smaller wrestlers. It was also noted that Vince, Bruce Prichard, and Kevin Dunn was expected to oversee the brand, which was previously managed by Triple H, who rejected offer to leave WWE and it was for a personal reason. However, the usual crew would still be handling the day-to-day operations.

Triple H had a serious cardiac event and he has taken a step back from the company to focus on his health and Shawn Michaels has been running things backstage.

Shawn Michaels talks about Vince McMahon’s involvement

This is something the WWE Hall of Famer talked about in an interview with TV Insider. He noted that he started out working three days a week and now he’s working seven days a week.

“People out there thinking it’s all Vince McMahon and Bruce Prichard type of production. They just are the ones who gave us the direction of what it is they wanted from NXT going into the future. It is still all the team Hunter [Triple H] put in place doing it here.”

He continued by stating he loves learning the different aspects of WWE. He said that he has a greater appreciation for everything Triple H took on and now understands how you can not return a text when you get it and he’s never had so many emails before taking on this role. He called it an honor to step in for his friend. We will have to see when Hunter decides to make his full fledged return but till then Michaels is seemingly handling the business well out there.
