Shawn Michaels made a one-off return to the ring back at the WWE Crown Jewel event back in November, teaming with his D-X teammate and friend Triple H to take on The Undertaker and Kane. While many began to speculate what was next for the Heartbreak Kid, Michaels says that it was a one-time thing.
In an interview with Sky Sports, Michaels said that it was a special moment for him, but he has no intentions of ever stepping back in the ring again. Michaels had already stated he was finished in ring after WWE Crown Jewel, but when asked again, let it be known he’s done, for good this time.
They forced me (laughs). No, it was a really special thing and I really felt that one for a while. I’m good with what I’ve done. The guys here in the UK, it’s their time to enjoy it and make the most of it.
Michaels is now fully focused on life as a coach and a trainer for WWE’s Performance Center and their NXT brand.
The only thing better than having your own WrestleMania moment is watching and helping someone with theirs. We had our time, we know the potential of so many of these men and women and we know the joy they can have and we want to pass it on.
