The Revival on how much money WWE was offering them to re-sign

It’s no secret that WWE wanted to keep the Revival in the company to stop them from signing with their rival promotions and one of the things they did was to offer more money to the duo.

The reported numbers were in the 700-800 thousand dollar range but according to the duo, the real numbers they were offered to stay with the company under their new proposed gimmick were much higher.

The duo recently appeared on the Talk Is Jericho podcast where they talked about their final days in the company and discussed the money they were offered:

“The numbers that have been reported, the 750 [thousand dollars] for whatever years.. the numbers went higher than that. They offered more than that, for us to do the clown, Cat in the Hat, Flavor Flav, clock stuff.  It was either one of two things: Vince came up with the greatest idea in the world, or, in his mind he was thinking ‘Okay, we’re going to embarrass these guys on the way out.’ I’m still not sure, because Vince is the greatest worker of them all.”

For those who don’t know, WWE was thinking to repackage the Revival into a comedy tag team before they were released from the promotion. You can check out some photos of their proposed new look here.
