Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson took to social media earlier today to confirm that he and his family had tested positive for COVID-19.
The Rock revealed the news in a video clip of 11:35 minutes on his Instagram account. He shared that he, his wife Lauren, and his daughters Jasmine and Tiana had all tested positive for COVID-19.
The former WWE Superstar said that it has been “one of the most challenging and difficult things” they have ever had to endure as a family.
The Rock on fighting COVID-19
The Rock shared in the video that testing positive for the virus was much more difficult an experience than all the other challenges he had to face as a pro wrestler. The reason behind that was because this time his family was in risk as well.
“I’ve been through some doozies in the past. I’ve gone around and gotten my a** kicked a little bit in the past. I’ve had some challenges, but testing positive for COVID-19 is much different than overcoming nasty injuries or being evicted or being broke, which I have been more than a few times. The reason that this feels different is because my number one priority is to always protect my family. Protect my children, my loved ones. It is our, I mean you guys, all of our number one priority” H/T comicbook.com
But the good news is that all of them have recovered and are safe and sound now.
“We are on the other side of COVID-19, and we are stronger and healthier.”
The Rock also urged his fans to boost immunity, wear masks, and practice social distancing in his caption, among other things.
The Rock recently announced a delay in the launch of his new Project Rock collection with Under Armour. The decision came in the wake of the police shooting of Jacob Blake in Kenosha, Wisconsin. The collection is scheduled to drop tomorrow, as per The Rock’s last Instagram post.
