Triple H talks about a ‘mega-fight’ between Drew McIntyre and Tyson Fury

British boxer Tyson Fury has recently challenged WWE Champion Drew McIntyre to a match, to which McIntyre gave a fitting reply soon afterwards.

Fury uploaded a video on his Twitter calling out The Scottish Psychopath in a fight. The latter seemed more than happy to take up the challenge.

The two went back and forth on Twitter, and McIntyre ended up claiming he would kick Fury’s “shiny bald head” off his body. He also asked a favor from Triple H, asking him to “have a word with this fraud”.

Triple H on Drew McIntyre vs. Tyson Fury

When asked to comment on the matter, Triple H told the PA News Agency (H/T The Sun) that booking the match was a simple enough process. All Fury has to do is give him a call.

“We could make Drew McIntyre v Tyson Fury work out, Tyson has got my number – we will make a call.”

Triple H reflected on what a “mega-fight” like this would mean for WWE.

“If you are able to make a super-fight, a mega-fight like a WWE champion Drew McIntyre, like a world champion in Tyson Fury in boxing, I think we sell out massive stadiums, do record global box office business and that is what is all about – so my phone is on.”

On Tyson Fury in WWE

Commenting on what Tyson Fury brings to the table for WWE, the WWE Executive Vice President had only good things to say about the former boxing World Champion.

“When someone like Tyson Fury comes in, he brings a sport aspect to this, he brings a boxing world championship and a popularity in something totally different that helps eyeballs across the board.”

“It is a win-win for both, Tyson is one of the most professional people I have ever worked with across the board – I spent a lot of time with him a few years ago and I would love to have him back.”

If the match does happen, it would not be Fury’s first appearance in WWE. In a short stint last year, he defeated Braun Strowman in WWE Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia, for which he reportedly earned $15 million.
