Last weekend’s Triller Fight Club event was quite the controversial one as both the co-main event and the main event ended in convincing fashion. One of the fighters in the aforementioned co-main event, Tito Ortiz, who was knocked out rather quickly by Anderson Silva was given various tests in order to get clearance for his fight against the ‘Spider’. Tito Ortiz recently leaked this Anderson Silva ‘cheating’ video.
Accord to Triller doctor David Abbasi, Ortiz passed tests for HIV, Hepatitis C and had an EKG done as well.
In addition, Abbasi would talk about Evander ‘The Real Deal’ Holyfield who was knocked out in the first round by Vitor Belfort by saying: “It’s definitely complicated with these exhibition events and never know how intense or serious the “exhibition” will be.
Furthermore, Abbasi stated: “Outsiders will never understand the extra details and clearances I specifically required to clear for a boxing exhibition which is why I made the video. This of course was a boxing exhibition but a lot of more experienced people weighed inputs to allow the Boxing Exhibition. Evander saw all required specialists recently and passed everything from very reputable places and specialists. So in this exhibition event We wanted to give him opportunity, but with very close eye. Honestly he absolutely could have won in my opinion and was favored by many but Vitor just poured it on.”
Abbasi concluded by saying: “Evander even argued a early stoppage but I disagree. But most importantly he got home safe. But I def understand both sides, and these exhibition events are definitely outside the norm, or at least used to be…”
