Triple H Defends NXT Ratings Collapsing On USA

Triple H defended NXT’s low ratings on the USA Network during an NXT Takeover conference call on Thursday. NXT regularly lose to AEW Dynamite on TNT in the ratings. He said USA are happy with NXT.

 


 

Ryan Satin tweeted, “‘People are watching content on so many different platforms … to just say that in today’s world only one of those platforms matter is naive.’

Triple H talking about how TV ratings aren’t the only barometer of success during today’s NXT conference call with the media.”

Sean Ross Sapp added, “Triple H mentions that apps are not included in viewership numbers and appointment viewing is not the same as it used to be.”

“Triple H says he was not heavily involved in the Royal Rumble at first, but WWE does consult with him over who he thinks would be good fits there.”

Satin said about Velveteen Dream, “Triple H says Velveteen Dream had a bit of a physical thing he was dealing with recently, but he’s still signed with WWE despite not appearing on NXT lately.”

Sean Ross Sapp added, “Triple H says ‘there’s nothing to add to Velveteen Dream.’ He’s still on the roster, still training, still at the PC. Says they’ve went over it with us a million times.”

“Super Bowl was a busy time for Pat McAfee, says Triple H. Says that Pat and WWE love the controversy and people wondering. Pat asked for some time to breathe, and him finding out about his ‘firing’ on the air was ‘greatly exaggerated,’ says Triple H.”
