Trish Stratus Drops WWE Return Bombshell

WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus is one of the greatest female superstars to ever step foot inside the squared circle. Though she retired back in 2006, she has been teasing a return to the ring for quite some time now. Stratus had fought her last match in WWE when she squared off against Charlotte Flair in a losing effort at SummerSlam back in 2019.

She has made some sporadic appearances in WWE. Stratus once again dropped hints about making a possible comeback down the road but this time for a different role.

Trish Stratus talks about possible GM role

Stratus was recently a guest at the For The Love Of Wrestling convention and took part in a Q&A session covering a variety of topics. When asked if she’d be willing to return to WWE as the General Manager of RAW or SmackDown, Stratus confirmed that she would be interested in more than just that:

“Do I want to be GM? I would gladly accept that role,” Trish Stratus said. “I always think — like I said, to go back, it has to be something challenging, something different, something different for you guys. You know, you just don’t wanna see me being a babyface, kicking butt, winning championships, boring, right guys? (…) What do you guys want? What should I do next? I always say if I go back, the one thing I’m missing is a heel run so that would be kind of fun, you know?”

Currently, WWE has on-screen authority figures- Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville. While Adam Pearce makes fair decision, Sonya tends to abuse her power to make the matches. We will have to see if the company plans to bring Stratus to replace Sonya in the near future.
