Two superstars return to NXT at recent tapings

SAnitY didn’t have much success on the main roster. Following their run in NXT where they captured the NXT Tag Team Championship, the trio suffered a severe amount of losses on SmackDown Live before they were disbanded. Erick Young moved to Raw, Alexander Wolfe recently showed up in NXT UK, and at tonight’s NXT tapings, Killian Dain made his return to the Black and Yellow brand.

Matt Riddle was in the middle of a post-match celebration when he was attacked by a masked behemoth, revealed to be Dain. The Beast of Belfast then put the King of Bros through the stage with a running senton.

It was reported a while back by the Wrestling Observer that Dain would be making the transition back to NXT, and he’d recently been touring with the brand, appearing at several house shows. Now, we know who he’ll be feuding with first, as he looks to make an impact by ridding Fullsail of Matt Riddle.

Dain wasn’t the only main roster superstar to appear during tonight’s tapings. NXT superstar Kushida, who is currently in the middle of an undefeated streak, faced off against the returning Apollo Crews.

While Dain will be sticking around, it’s assumed that Crews is only back for a one-off appearance.
