Undertaker ‘Stole’ Move From WWE Hall of Famer

Undertaker had the idea to take a move from a WWE legend. WWE Hall Of Famer Kurt Angle’s in-ring prowess can never be understated. Despite that, there were many pro wrestlers who came before he did and Angle copied a few of their moves. Vince McMahon rejected a ‘stupid’ Undertaker idea.

The WWE Hall Of Famer recently spoke on The Kurt Angle Show, where he discussed the WWE No Way Out 2006 PPV. It featured Angle defending the World Heavyweight Championship against The Undertaker.

Angle performed a modified version of the figure four leglock around the ring post on The Undertaker, which Bret Hart popularized. He revealed that it was The Undertaker’s idea to use the move in the first place during their match.

“Well, the Undertaker brought it up because he said Bret Hart used to do it with him, and so I thought it was a pretty cool move, and I think we might have even done the hit on the post.”

Angle then admitted that he stole Bret Hart’s moves occasionally.

“I have done that a couple of times (figure four leglock around the ring post). I got it out of Bret Hart’s playbook. You know, you want to be the best, you have got to steal moves from the best (laughs). You know, it was a great spot in the match, and it worked out really well.”
