As reported earlier, Cody Rhodes and Wardlow took each other to hell in a Steel Cage Match on this week’s Dynamite. Rhodes came out on top after hitting a beautiful moonsault from the top of the cage to secure a match against MJF at Revolution.
After the show went off the air, Rhodes took a microphone in his hand and cut an amazing promo.
Rhodes called this the best episode of Dynamite yet. He then went on to thank the support team including the camera crew, security and the vendors who make this show possible.
He asked the crowd in Atlanta to not leave the arena and stay for the Dark Matches that’d be taped following his promo.
Rhodes then went on to tell a short story about how he fell in love with pro-wrestling at Baker Street, 200 yards away from the arena they were in. He said that although he never got to see his father Dusty Rhodes in his prime, he knew he wanted to be famous like him.
Rhodes broke down into tears while narrating this story and thanked the crowd and assured them that AEW will be back in Atlanta.
