AEW is currently planning a huge 8-man tournament in order to determine the #1 Contender for the AEW World Championship. The finals will be held at AEW Full Gear next month.
So far, six participants have been announced for the tournament, with two spots remaining vacant. The company has one more week to announce the remaining participants before it begins.
According to a report by The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, AEW Dynamite’s October 21st episode will include four quarterfinal matches. The next week on October 28th, two semi-final matches will be taking place. Following that, the company will be promoting the finals for a week.
The bracketology has not been announced. So, many are wondering which stars will be competing against each other. The current participants are Kenny Omega, Colt Cabana, Hangman Page, Fenix, Jungle Boy, and Wardlow.
