When did Vince McMahon pitch the idea for WrestleMania 36 in Performance Center?

This year’s WrestleMania was historic for a lot of reasons. Not only was the event divided into two nights but it also happened in front of no audience and from the WWE Performance Center.

All of this had to happen due to the global outbreak of COVID-19. On After The Bell podcast with Corey Graves, Triple H revealed an interesting detail about how this whole scenario came to be.

Hunter revealed that the very first time that Vince McMahon pitched the idea for WrestleMania to be shifted to the Performance Center was right after the special Performance Center edition of NXT.

Triple H was shocked to hear this but then things escalated quickly and the Performance Center was transformed into something else entirely. Either way, WrestleMania happened and a good amount of fans enjoyed it.

It is interesting that McMahon pitched this idea this early on, considering that a whole lot of things happened after this. Ultimately, McMahon’s speculation was true and we got a one of a kind version of WrestleMania.
