WWE Big Name Has Failed Two Drug Tests

WWE Hall Of Famer Teddy Long has been one of the most entertaining and loved characters in the company. He also served as the General Manager of Smackdown during the Ruthless Aggression era and he performed his role to near perfection. Now, as it turns out, he smoked weed but stopped out of respect for WWE Chairman Vince McMahon.

Teddy Long talks about smoking marijuana

As previously reported, WWE has not removed marijuana from their Wellness Policy. In fact, WWE has not even issued a fine for marijuana in many years, which surprised many people. While speaking on The Wrestling Inc. Daily, Teddy Long talked about his experiences “smizzing,” which just means smoking weed. Long revealed that he stopped smoking out of respect for Vince McMahon.

“I said, ‘Hey man, my job is more important so I don’t want to let Vince down. That man gave me the opportunity of a lifetime and the reason I am where I am today is because of Vince. So, I quit, maybe about a year. I quit for a real long time. What made me start back, man, I think I just got kind of burnt out. I had been on the road for over 25 years of my life … I think I just kind of got stressed, then me and Chioda kind of started riding again.”

WWE has a relaxed stance when it comes down to cannabis compared to the time when Teddy Long actively worked in the company. Regardless, Long did what he thought was the best for himself and WWE. He also noted how the talents don’t have to worry about lighting up a joint. Long said he failed ‘a couple’ of drug tests.
