Vince McMahon was trying to get Steve Austin back for another comeback match after WrestleMania 38, FightfulSelect.com reports, before his WWE exit. Triple H has formally offered Austin a match, likely either at WrestleMania 39 or in Saudi Arabia. One source said that Austin and WWE are ‘far apart’ on terms.

WWE Hall Of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin’s feud with The Rock has gone down in history as one of the most iconic feuds in all of professional wrestling. Their feud ended at WrestleMania 19 in 2003, which was Steve Austin’s final match as an in-ring competitor. It was the third match at WrestleMania in their feud. Steve Austin’s ex-wife Debra confronted the WWE Hall of Famer backstage, accusing Torrie Wilson of hitting on Stone Cold Steve Austin. She spoke about the incident in a shoot interview.
“I did that once to Torrie. She was hitting on Steve. That was more of a girl to girl, woman to woman, hitting on my husband, which all women can relate to that. I don’t play that way. […] I just grabbed her by the arm and was like ‘hey, you need to come here right now, and I just told her if she didn’t stop I was gonna kick her butt. That was disrespectful. This is my husband. And she started crying. Yeah [she was with Billy Kidman at the time]. She was crying, her nose was running,”
