WWE to introduce new title after WrestleMania

WWE Championship

While a Women’s Tag Titles has been rumored for a while now, it appears that WWE is planning to introduce a different set of titles after WrestleMania this year.

Pwinsider is reporting that the Officials are planning to introduce Cruiserweight Tag Team Titles for 205 Live after the 34rth edition of the Show of Shows.

Several designs for the title had been worked out initially and the company has apparently already finalized a design for the belts, though their look is not out yet.

This news is followed by the revelation a few weeks ago that Vince McMahon has stepped down after the release of Enzo Amore and Triple H is now running 205 Live.

No word yet on how the company plans to introduce the titles but it wouldn’t be a surprise if we see another tournament to crown the Inaugural Champions after WrestleMania.

They should do 2 things: bring back the format of how the light heavyweights/cruiserweights were treated in the 90s and early 000’s or use the nxt format. Thats the only way i can see this being redeemed which is a shame

They need a new IC title. I love the current design, but I just don’t think it fits anymore. Looks too traditional compared to all the flashy current ones they have now. I’m also surprised that they never did a blue background on Smackdowns WH title.

Back in the day, Bret Hart was considered a small guy at 235. He would be one of the bigger guys today.

Yet more filler matches for RAW.

Greg beat you to this story. Maybe you two should coordinate better or your “boss” needs to assign you guys better.

    Don’t watch 205, so don’t care.
